Happy Birthday Colby Lincoln Pyne

Colby Lincoln Pyne was born today, Feb. 25th, 2008 at 00:02. He's a beautiful little baby and has arrived healthy and has a great set of lungs. Kori's water broke yesterday afternoon so they went to the hospital (where I work). There they admitted her and got her labor going. She was a real trooper throughout and Troy helped her like a good husband should. All our kids went over about 6pm and we stayed for an hour or so then we went home to let them rest. The doctor thought it would be around midnight. Well, he was a pretty good guesser. Colby weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20" long. Kori and Troy invited me to video tape the birth and what an honor that was for me. Thank you so much for allowing me to do that for you Kori and Troy!! It's such a thrill to see the miracle of birth. Congratulations and happy parenting to them!!
He's not too sure about this world. I look at him and wonder what his Heavenly Father has in store for him. He's a healthy, beautiful baby boy. Has all his fingers and toes!!

Here's the new family. They are now complete. They've fallen in love with their little Colby Lincoln.

He's a little bundle of joy!! Mimah loves him so much. What a special spirit he will be in our family.

Rog is one proud Papa. He had to wait outside in the hall and just listen to what was going on. But he was patient and then was so excited to come in and hold his little sweetheart.
*** just a little side-note---Colbys middle name Lincoln was my fathers middle name. Troys middle name is my dads first name of Clinton. My dad was born on President Lincolns birthday. I was so excited when they said his name would be Lincoln. That's a tribute to my father in my eyes.***

I've Been Tagged

TAGGED
I was TAGGED

1.If you could go away by yourself for 3 days…disappear…where would you go and what would you do? I'd go to big beautiful cabin in the mountains with a stream running by.

2. If you could be on any reality TV show what would it be? Well anyone who knows me good enough knows it would be Deal or No Deal. lol

3. If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?I would love to be able to find a cure for all these horrible diseases that are killing so many people. Such as diabetes, cancer etc.

4. You just won the 200 million dollar lottery. What do you do with the money? First of all I would pay off any debt I have. I would then give my children enough money to buy the home they'd like and enough money for them that their wives didn't have to work. I would love to build a homeless shelter and maybe drug rehabs to help those addicted to drugs. I would also love to travel with the money.

5. What is your favorite love song and why? I Knew I Loved You Before I Met You. By Savage Garden. Just love the words.

6. If you could pick any actor/actress to play you in the story of your life who would it be? How about Julia Roberts? Don't ask me why..lol I just like her.

7. What is the one thing you know you’ll regret if you never do it? Go on a cruise. I've heard so many fun things about them.

)8. What is your dream job? How about a heart surgeon? Heck I don't know. Something that makes lots of money.

9. If you could invite 5 people to dinner dead or alive who would they be (non-religious)? Of course my parents who have been dead more than half my life. I'd love to see Rogers parents again. Also my Grandma Fry who was an angel in my life. And Oprah Winfrey

10.If could only eat one treat the rest of your life what would it be? Anything with chocolate. Like that yummy chocolate cake that Costco has..oh baby!!

Ok..now you've been tagged!!

Pedicure Day!!

Roger, Shana and I all got gift certificates for Christmas to have a pedicure. We couldn't put it off any longer. Shana bought one for Becka for her birthday so she came along with us. It's so fun to pamper yourself even if it's only for an hour. We tried to talk Rog into painting his toenails Utah Jazz purple but he refused. It feels so good having your legs and feet massaged and dipped in hot wax. I would love getting one every month but I am lucky if I go once a year. As you can tell we really enjoyed ourselves. The first time Roger had one was last year and he enjoyed it so much he wanted to go back. So if you're a guy and you're reading this Roger highly recommends it.

The finished product is a beautiful foot with coloful nail polish on. Awww it sure feels so good.

Happy Birthday to my little Mexican

It's my little sweethearts

birthday today.

He turned the big 5-1

We actually had to celebrate on Sat. evening because of the kids schedules etc. We went to Rogers "not his favorite" place to eat. haha. We had bought the kids a gift certificate to Mi Ranchitos for Christmas and so they wanted to use those for dinner. I'm sure he would rather have gone to Red Lobster but he settled for Mexican. We had a fun time and I'm sure he loved the" 2 "massage gift certificates he got from the kids. And I'll betcha he loved the 50" Plasma T.V. he got just in time for the super bowl. I had to throw in a belt and tie too so he at least had something to open. Happy Birthday honey!!! You sure look cute in that Mexican sombrero

Our New Prophet and his Counselors

I'm sure I'm like all the rest of you in being very excited about our new Prophet and his counselors. I have loved President Monson for years and years and he's always been someone that I have loved listening to at General Conference. What an honorable, caring, spiritual and loving man he is. I love how he always talks about things that his mother had taught him when he was growing up. He uses her in a lot in his stories he tells. In the month of December we had our stake conference and we were very privledged to have Brother Uchtdorf as our speaker. Roger and I were very excited to to hear him in person. We thoroughly enjoyed his message and feel that it was a blessing to us to now say that we've been in his presence.
I'm looking forward to General Conference now and being able to see them all sitting on the stand and listening to their talks. I"m also looking forward to sustaining them as our church leaders and supporting them in their callings.

Grandkid room

This is Gentry in our "grandkid room". As you can see there isn't much room to walk around. The kids love getting all the toys out and spreading them all over. And then they hate picking them up. haha..It looks like she's having some kind of a tea party with herself.

Makinley loves getting old aprons on and she even has a John Stockton thingy hanging around her neck. We got it when he retired from the Jazz. They get out all the little kitchen things and come out to us while we're visiting and ask us if we want to eat any of it.

Daxton is helping Makinley with something. There have been times when we're out visiting and they're in the grandkid room. We think they're playing but they've been writing with markers all over the walls. OH OH!!! This room has been fun for them though and I'm glad we made it for their enjoyment. The walls are fire engine red and yellow. It has the alphabet stenciled on the wall and a growth chart so we can measure them as they get older.

Our Winter of 2008

We have had quite the winter this year. Snow storm after snow storm.
It makes me wonder how long it's going to take to get all this snow off of our yard.

Here's a front view of the home. I think winter time looks so beautiful when we have fresh fallen snow.

Rog gets up early every morning after it has snowed all night and he snow blows our place, our two elderly neighbors next to us also. He's had to be late for work because he's so dedicated to helping them out. After each time they always call or send a note thanking him for his service. I know it's hard on his back but he still does it. I actually went out this morning and helped him because it takes him so long to do it. It's good exercise shoveling the snow but man it hurts my back. I miss having snowmen in my yard so I need to get the grandkids over to make one.

Happy Winter!!!!
