Snorkeling in Key Largo

Ok..I have to admit that I am a big snorkeling fan!! I can't wait to get back under the water again.
The day before we drove down to Key Largo to go snorkeling Florida had a tropical storm and so it really stirred up the ocean. When we were looking for a place to take us out on the boat there was one company who said that they wouldn't be taking anyone out that day because you wouldn't be able to see anything because of the storm the day before. We were so disappointed because we had driven quite a ways to get there and we didn't want to return without getting to see the reefs. We drove to another company and they said they were going out but were honest to tell us that it was going to be ok but not as clear as it would have been maybe the next day. Well, we were determined to snorkel so we went. I'm so glad we did. Even though the pictures are somewhat cloudy they didn't come out as good as you could really see. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and we were so glad we went.
These pictures are of Troy, Kori, Shana and I under the water. And a few of the coral and fish. It's so amazing to see some of Gods creations and how beautiful they are. The fish were electric blue, bright yellow etc. The pictures don't do them any justice. I wish you could all experience snorkeling if you haven't ever done it.
What a fun day we had!!!

Our Florida Vacation

I was privledged to go on a vacation to Florida this past week. Troy and Kori are living in the Miami area now and will be there until the end of August. Shana and I left on June 1st and stayed until June 6th. We had the time of our lives.
Troy and Kori took us different places such as snorkeling in Key Largo, and seeing alligators at the Gator Park. That's where Shana almost had to wrestle a big alligator. I got my picture taken with a 4 yr. old one. Kori took us to the mall so we could shop. We went to the beach one day and hung out with all the guys that he works with and his company provided a nice buffet lunch. We got to see where the show Miami Ink is filmed.(it's a Tattoo Parlor) Troy showed us the areas that he knocks on doors every day. I was a little worried but it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it was going to be. (at least the area he was in last week).
I've never snorkeled before so that was such a highlight. I'm addicted now though and want to do it again soon. It's amazing how beautiful the ocean is and all the water life that is going on under there. I've always said that if I was to die and come back as something it would be a fish. I love the water so much.
Anyway, here are a few pictures from our trip. A big thanks to Kori and Troy for showing us around and for their hospitality.
