Grandmas traditional Halloween Party Oct. 2013

We have the funnest times together. This year I planned a Halloween party that consisted of dinner, face painting and decorating pumpkins. The kids really got into the face painting as you can tell. Jake, me and Roger were good sports to let them paint our faces.
Brayden took the liberty to paint Daxtons face. Hmmm. I wonder what he'll end up looking like??
Here's Presley and Hadley with their cute faces all painted up.
Look how cute we are!! Hadley and Grandma are pulling our ugly face.
Here's how Daxton ended up. Brayden did a pretty good job on him.
Oh oh!! Look at Papa. lol.
We're all eating our lunch at the table. Pretty festive decorations huh?
I'm not sure if Daxton is happy or not about his costume lol. But I love the clown wig on him.
Brayden and Makinley are decorating their pumpkins all up.
Look at these two pretty girls. Shana and Presley decorating their Halloween cookies

The girls went crazy on Jakes face painting but he was a good sport.
Look at that awesome cookie Easton made!! He's quite the decorator. Maybe he'll be a bakery worker haha.
I love my grand kids so much. It always makes me so happy to create fun memories for them. I'm so blessed!
Grandma and Daxton posing for a picture of our faces.
Ohhhh...Scary Hadley. She looks so pretty in her dress ups then that face is ugly! Oh she loves dressing up so much.
Makinley, Presley and Gentry decorating their cookies. They're such good sports to wear the head piece that I bought for each of them. We're ready for Halloween!!
Look at little E. He's such a character. He's always making us laugh and smile. I think he's showing us his Dracula teeth!!
Isn't she beautiful? Gentry made some pretty Halloween cookies.
I think Brayden is getting too old for these parties. haha. Looks like he's kind of bored.

Sibling get together in Sept. 2013

We were missing Kayleen in this picture but she was out of town. It was so nice to have Jim and Jane and Larry come down to Orem so that we could go to lunch. This rarely happens so it was a real treat. We got a few pictures to capture the moment. We talked of days gone by, our dad, our families etc. I'm so blessed to have such a close family who loves and supports one another.
Me, Rog, Cyndee, Geri, Larry, Jane and Jim eating at Red Lobster for lunch
My two handsome brothers. Jim Osborn and Larry Reda. I grew up with Larry so I'm very close to him. Jim is my dads son from a previous marriage but we knew Jim when I was a young girl. He came out to go to school at BYU and he'd come over to the house and hang out with us occasionally. I'm so glad we've reconnected with him and his wife Jane.
I sure love these people in my life. Cyndee, Geri, and Larry. I'm so blessed to have them.
Jim and Jane Osborn. It's always so fun to have them around. They live in Eden, Utah so it's quite a drive for them to come down this way but it was so worth it to be together.

Giving Thanks on 2013 Thanksgiving

This year I decided for Thanksgiving that I'd have each person write down five things that they were thankful for. I gave them each a piece of colored paper and wrote down their blessings. It was fun to read what each of them had written. I then took their pictures with what they were thankful for. Gentry wrote that she is thankful for her family, close (clothes), her pets, her friends and food.

Daxton wrote that he's thankful for his family, underwear, toilets, clothes and his home.
Brayden is thankful for his underwear, his family, house, clothes
Kristi is thankful for her Savior, her husband, her kids, a warm home and bed.
Presley is thankful for her family, her dogs, her mom and dad, Heavenly Father and Jesus, and food
Jared is thankful for his family, his job, for health insurance, his home and the gospel.
Little Hadley is thankful for her family, her home, Jesus, her dress ups, and dogs.
Makinley is grateful for her family, her home, her clothes and toilets
Easton is thankful for lots of things like, Jesus, deers, elks, bears, turkeys, dinner time and blankets
Roger is thankful for his family, for the plan of salvation, for prayer, our country and his health
I'm thankful for my family, my good health, airplanes (to fly me to Texas), my testimony and good friends.
Jake is thankful for Jesus Christ, his family, his good health, our free country and scriptures.
I couldn't read Shana's very well but she's thankful for her family
Colby is thankful for his dad and mom, Ruby his dog, his Christmas tree, Addie and school.
Addie is thankful for Ruby, Colby, her mom and dad, their house and Heavenly Father
Troy is thankful for his family, his job, the church, the sun and technology
Kori is thankful for her family, the church, her home, friends and good health.

Next Thanksgiving I'm going to bring out these pictures and read them off to everyone to remind them of what they were thankful for. I think it's a good time to reflect upon all of our blessings and be reminded of them. I know our lists could go on and on but I limited it to 5 things.
We missed Troy's family eating turkey dinner with us but they were with us in spirit. It was a great day for all of us!
