Our Winter of 2008

We have had quite the winter this year. Snow storm after snow storm.
It makes me wonder how long it's going to take to get all this snow off of our yard.

Here's a front view of the home. I think winter time looks so beautiful when we have fresh fallen snow.

Rog gets up early every morning after it has snowed all night and he snow blows our place, our two elderly neighbors next to us also. He's had to be late for work because he's so dedicated to helping them out. After each time they always call or send a note thanking him for his service. I know it's hard on his back but he still does it. I actually went out this morning and helped him because it takes him so long to do it. It's good exercise shoveling the snow but man it hurts my back. I miss having snowmen in my yard so I need to get the grandkids over to make one.

Happy Winter!!!!

Tons of snow!! I am sick of it though and the kids do need to go down and make you a snowman!!! I wish I had dad for a neighbor to come and snowblow my driveway!! Especially while Jake is gone to Moab!!! I know that the neighbors appreciate it so much!! I hope he doesn't keep doing it forever though because his back hurts him a ton and he is getting old!! ;)
What a good guy.

I'm so tired of all the snow. I know it's good for us though. I hate being in a drout more. You guys are so nice to help the elderly couple!

I agree--the snow makes everything look pretty. I'd rather it snow all winter than rain all winter.

It is a beautiful! Fresh fallen snow. The only time I really miss it is in the month of December. And then I miss it a lot! A white Christmas is what I grew up with.

How nice of Roger to help your neighbors. I do remember it does hurt your back!

Everything does look beautiful with a fresh coat of snow! If it could just melt on the roads and sidewalks, life would be easier in the wintertime! Our snow from last weekend is almost melted now. I am glad! How many days til spring??

The problem with all of us is that this is a normal winter....we just haven't had a "normal" winter for so long. We've gotten use to it not snowing so much. We need the water in order to have a "green" summer, so I've accepted it. I have just become a home body. I do look forward to summer though! It is so beautiful when it snows. Good work Rog!
