A Visit to City Creek Mall

City Creek Mall opened the middle of March so Roger and I thought we'd make a day out of it and go to lunch and then hit the mall shops. What a huge place! You could get lost so easy. I love that the Salt Lake Temple is in the background. We didn't buy much but we sure enjoyed the day just being together.

Moms Funeral Program

I came across moms funeral program and wanted to put it on my blog. It brings back so many memories of this day. She had wonderful speakers and singers and the songs she had chosen were so fitting for the type of person she was. I miss her so very much and wish my children could have known her and had the opportunity to form memories of her.

Makinley's Baptism Day!

This little princess was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on March 24,2012. She is quite the beauty in her white dress. Grandpa and Grandma are so proud of her for choosing the right. I pray she'll always have the Holy Ghost with her to help her make decisions and choices in her life. Makinley had asked me to give a talk on the Holy Ghost and I was honored. She had lots of support from her cousins on the Cook and Pyne side and we all enjoyed a nice lunch afterwards at her parents home.
Makinley and her daddy. I'm so proud to have a son who honors his Priesthood and is able to perform these important events for his children.
Gardners and Grandpa waiting to see Makinley baptized.
We gave her a few things for her baptism. One was this beautiful frame for her baptism picture. Something she can always have and cherish. We also gave her a CTR necklace and some wood blocks for her bedroom that are CTR.
What a beautiful family.
Little Easton is dreaming about the day he's going to be baptized in 5 years. I love his pant leg tucked into his boot. What a sweety.

A Princess's 8th Birthday

Makinley turned 8 on March 16th. A special birthday for sure. I took her shopping for clothes the week before her birthday and this cute outfit is one she chose all by herself. We had so much fun walking in the mall holding hands and going from store to store. She loves going shopping with her Grandma.
She's ready to open all her gifts from her family and us. I had already let her wear all her clothes we got her but we had to throw in an extra few for her to open.
She's really into Justin Bieber so I couldn't resist getting this beach towel for her.
She certainly loves her Papa and I know he loves her.
Makinley got lots of birthday cards from her class friends. She loved reading all of them too.
Makinley is such a big helper. She loves taking care of her little sister and brother. She loves to play the piano and is doing so well at it. She is such a beautiful young lady and I know she'll grow up to be an awesome teenager and make good choices. I love you Makinley!! Thanks for always going shopping with grandma.

Happy Birthday Rog # 55

We had such a fun day on Rogers birthday. We all drove out to Tooele to see Daxton baptized then came home and had a bowling party for Rog. He loves his family so much and it's always fun to get together even though Shana and her family weren't able to make it. The kids gave him a nice set of scriptures and he loved those. It's so cute how Adaline is trying to help her Papa blow out his candles. Kids are so cute..
It's a bowling party at Fat Cats in Provo. We all had so much fun but bowled like crap except for Jared.Kristi has the right formKori, Addie and Kristi having a fun time.

A Special Day For Daxton

Daxton was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Feb. 11,2012. On his Papa's birthday. I"m so proud of him for choosing the right and making the right decision. He's such a happy young man. Full of spunk. He loves to talk your head off and is so smart. On the day of his baptism there were 15 kids being baptized too so there were a lot of people. But I don't think there were as many supporters as Daxton had. Lots of friends and family came to witness this great ordinance.
Look at all the people who came to support him.
His daddy baptized and confirmed him. What a special day for him. I pray he'll always remember this special day and keep his promises to his Heavenly Father and always be an active member of the church.
