Grandma's Christmas Party

I love putting up my Christmas Village. I always imagine I"m a little person living in the village and I place all the figurines in the area that I think I would see them in real life. The grandkids are at a fun age where they just stand over it and look carefully at it. They'll pick up the people and put them where they want. I've collected everything over quite a few years. Several of the houses have meaning to me. Jared bought the ski chalet for me when he was on his mission, Peggy, a dear friend who used to work for me and has since passed away, bought me several pieces.
We needed a picture with the grandkids. We missed having Colby and Addie and Vivi on this night that's for sure. We decorated cookies, decorated the grandkid tree and had pizza. I live for these moments.
Can they get any cuter? I don't think so. Oh I love them so much.
Here's the finished product. I give them all their own ornaments that I've given them over the years and they each take a turn putting them on the tree. Most of them end up at the bottom. It's pretty dang cute. As much as I'd like to rearrange them when they leave, I don't. I leave them right where they were put.
My entryway decoration.

Happy 4th Birthday Hadley...Dec. 22, 2014

This little stinker turned 4 years old on Dec. 22, 2014. She's such a little character. We love her so much..for 4 years she was our youngest grandchild but now we have little Viv. But Hadley loves, dancing, gymnastics, dress ups, her dollies and anything girly. She's quite the talker and has been at an early age. She loves her sissy Presley and they're best friends. Shana and Jake had a "Frozen" party for her and had a bunch of little girlfriends come over. We're so proud of her and Papa and Grandma love her dearly.

Fry Family Christmas Party Dec. 2014

We had a small group this year but those that came had a nice time. We got to visit with our cousins and eat dinner at Golden Coral.
I love each and every one of them so much. I'm so glad we're all close to each other. We only see each other maybe once or twice a year but when we do we always laugh and have a great time.
This past year we lost Cyndee and Steve Holt. Kayleen made copies of the loved ones who have passed on and hung them behind us. We miss them all so much but we know they're our guardian angels.
Geri, Melanie, Aunt LaRae and Kay
Jackie, Donna, Jeff and Fred, Wayne and Tracy
Me, Kathy and Larry, Sheila , Jill and Nick
Merry Christmas Fry Family! Praying we're all still around for next years celebration.

Sleepover Time

Selfie with these cute girls.
We had a sleepover with Presley and Hadley. I love that the grandkids love sleeping over.
They have the cutest smiles.
Hadley goofing off.
Presley also goofing off for the camera.
I love these girls so much. I wish we lived closer to be able to hang out more. They're so much fun.

Grandparent Day At Foothill Elementary November 2014

Easton is introducing us in front of his class and teacher.
We had the opportunity to go to Grandparents Day with Easton. He's in Kindergarten now at Foothill. It was so fun to see his face when we walked in. He thought it was pretty cool that his papa and grama would come. We made indian corn out of beads and pipe cleaners. They were celebrating Thanksgiving and teaching them about the pilgrims and indians.
We love doing things like this with our grandkids. We had so much fun to see how Easton interacts with his class and to see his classroom.

Daxton's Into Wrestling

Daxton is wrestling for Medal Wrestling. He's doing really good for just starting. This tournament was in Mapleton, Ut. Daxton is in the red. He pinned 1 guy and lost the other 2 but he gave them a run for their money.

He wrestled a boy that won the state championship last year.
It's so fun to go watch the grandkids developing their love for different sports.
A funny story that happened at this tournament was when we were all standing up against the wall after Daxton had wrestled and got pinned, we told him what a good job he did and how hard he had worked. He went up to Shana and said "you just want to make money off of me" We all looked at each other and burt out laughing. Not sure where that comment came from but he was mad because he didn't win. He took it that Shana was mad at him for losing so that's where that comment came from. To this day we still laugh at that comment.

The "A" Team At Work

I've been blessed for the last 26 years to work with some of the best nurses and doctors in the ER. I would trust them with my life and any of my family. They're top notch in my eyes. This team right here is Tom Sant, Dr. Craig Patten and Linda Simons. I always look forward to my Wednesday and Thursday shift because it's Tom and Linda who I get to work with. We have shared some of our most personal stories with each other. We're like siblings that get along so well. Tom is one who goes out of his way to help others such as going out and starting their cars for them when it's cold outside, or holding an umbrella for a patient and walking them to their car, helping you with car troubles, he's the "fix it" man in the ER. Tom's like a brother to me and I love his big hugs when I see him. Linda is the compassionate one. Always helping others, such a giving person. She's so talented when it comes to sewing and crafts. She's always been such a good example to me and I love her dearly. Dr. Craig Patten is a hoot to work with. He's quite the jokester and talker. One time he got a couple of tootsie rolls and rolled them up to look like a turd. He put it in a stool sample cup and would sit it on peoples desks. I really am so blessed and lucky to work with these fine people. I love them all and grateful they're a part of my life.  This picture was taken in November  2014.
There's the tootsie roll poop!!

Gentry Got Glasses!!

Look at this darling girl. Guess she was having some issues with her eyes and not being able to see very well. Her mommy took her to the eye doctor and found that she needed glasses. She's got two pairs that she can trade off with. She looks adorable and I love her beautiful smile. Gentry is in the 3rd grade.

Vivianne's Blessing Day December 7, 2014.

Our Vivianne Denice Pyne was blessed by her daddy on December 7, 2014 which happened to fall on the same day that her great grandmother would have turned 95.  What are the odds of that? What a special day. One that will always be easy to remember. Look at her beautiful dress!!
Vivian Tucker Pyne
Born December 7, 1917.
Vivianne's great grandmother.
Our little sweetheart is such a beautiful baby. Grandpa and Grandma weren't able to be there for her special day but we were there in spirit. I want to squeeze her and pinch those cheeks.

Miss Vivianne Pyne

Look at those cheeks! And her little duck face lips. Vivianne is almost 3 months old in this picture. It's hard to believe we've only seen her one time and that was at about 2 weeks old. Troy's family is coming tomorrow to spend Christmas with us so we'll finally get to hold this little stinker. She's smiling and giggling now. She's going to get mauled when she's here since no one in our family has met her yet. I'm going to give her kisses and kisses.

I Love This Man

I'm so blessed to have this man as my husband. I really have no idea what I would do if I ever lost him. He's my rock, my best friend, my lover and eternal companion. We've been married now for 37 years. We've been through many, many trials but through a lot of prayer and hard work we've come out ahead. Met when I was 15 and he was 17. The odds were against us that's for sure. I'm so grateful for unconditional love and forgiveness. Together we can do anything.
I love you Roger Pyne!!

Rog And I Love Our Time Together 2014

Provo Canyon Trail
During the summer Rog and I love to be outside when we exercise. Who wants to be in a gym when you can be outside in the beautiful sun and scenery. We love to hike, bike and walk up the canyon.
I was pretty proud of this!  We walked over 6 miles.
This hike is up Big Springs. The scenery is gorgeous and the hike isn't too bad. I'm so grateful Rog and I can do these kinds of things together.
I love the little streams and bridges.
Provo Canyon bike trail.

We're so blessed to live so close to the mountains to be able to enjoy God's creations. The colors are so vibrant and it feels so good to be outside.

Brayden The Pitcher

We spent a lot of our evenings traveling to SLC and Stansbury to watch Brayden play ball. Boy, he's a great pitcher. He was on a great team that ended up taking 2nd place in state.
Some pretty sad faces on the boys. They lost in a nail biter game but played so good.
Dax was always at Braydens games cheering him on.
Grandpa and I love supporting all the grandkids in their activities. I know they love seeing us in the audience. Before they play I always say "hit one for grandma" It brings me such joy to see the kids active and healthy and loving life.

Mall Date With My Girls 2014

I took Makinley and Gentry to the mall to spend some time with them. We shopped and just had a fun time. I wanted to buy them something and we ended up in the jewelry store where we found some funny glasses.

Look at those pink eyelashes.
Look at us! Crazy girls. This really was such a fun night. Didn't cost me much and we made some fun memories. I'm so glad we live close by them to be able to do these kinds of things.

My 10 Little Sweethearts 2014

Presley age 5.  She loves her little sis, loves the color purple, loves her dog Simon and her family. She has the prettiest long brown hair and gorgeous smile.
I'm the luckiest grandma in the entire world. I truly believe that. I'm so blessed to have 10 grandkids that all have such fun loving, different personalities. I love spending one on one with each of them. I love asking them how school is, what their favorite food, sport, color, etc are so that I can know them even better. I love hearing them call me "Grandma". Best word in our vocabulary.
Brayden age 13. He's our oldest grandchild and holds a special place in our heart. He's a tall drink of water. He's 6' tall already. Size 11 shoe. He's totally into primping and looking good. He loves baseball, basketball and football. He's quite the athlete.

Easton -AKA Little E. He's 5 and has quite the imagination. He loves to tell tall tales. Loves hunting, fishing, trucks and his dogs and mostly loves his daddy. He has the cutest smile.
r
Look at Adaline..she's 5 and such a cutie. She loves her big brother Colby. She loves her dog Ruby, she loves to help her mom and grandma bake cookies. She's such a smarty pants.
Dax is 10 and is quite the "go getter" No matter how difficult something is, if he wants it he finds a way. He saved his money that he'd earned by working for grandparents, and his parents to buy his first dirt bike. He's such a hard worker and loves to visit grandma and grandpa and is so loving and sensitive.
Oh Hadley...age 3. She loves dress ups, her dolls, her dog Mia and especially her sissy Presley. Hadley is smarter than a whip and so intelligent. Always on the go and can't sit still for very long but boy does she love her sleep. Still loves to take naps.

Colby the lady killer. Look at what a doll. He's 6 yrs old here. He's learning to read, he loves baseball and soccer. He's a great athlete and he loves his little sisters. Grandma loves to tackle him and roll around on the floor with him.
Gentry age 8. She was baptized this year and is such a beautiful young lady. She loves her American Girl doll, and is a good student in school. She loves to go shopping with me. She has the prettiest long blonde hair.
I love this picture. Makinley, age 10 is picking up the dog poop. She's a good sport to do that. She's such a beautiful young lady and it's so fun to see her growing up. She's an artist, loves to sing, loves to read and especially loves to go shopping with me. She loves her American Girl doll too. She's a comforter and helps me when I'm feeling sad.
This beautiful baby is Vivianne and she is our 10th grandbaby. What a joy it is to have her in our family. She's made us very happy and we love her dearly. We sure wish we could live closer to be able to get to know her better. Right now she loves her bottle, her mommy and daddy and Adaline and Colby.

Each of these sweethearts hold a very special place in my heart. I pray they'll all grow up to be good people and always stay close to their parents and to the gospel. Families are eternal and I want to live with them forever.

4th of July 2014

We're ready for the big rodeo
We spent the 4th of July this year with Shana and Jakes family. I had just had shoulder surgery so that's the reason for my arm in a sling. But we went to dinner with them then went to the Rodeo there in Tooele. Becka joined us for the celebration. It was so nice to have her there with us. She misses her mom so much and especially on holidays. We sure had a fun time and loved the fireworks afterwards.

This is the front page of the rodeo program. Daxton looked at it and said "Grandma this looks just like you" Holy crap it did! Everyone couldn't get over it.
Presley and Hadley loved the rodeo. And they love each other.
Gettin a little grub before we hit the rodeo
Ok this was so funny. Daxton of course loves the rodeo scene. He has his "ins" with the rodeo people. He gets to go in the announcers box etc. Well, we couldn't find him for a while and was wondering where he was. Little did we know he was out there in the rodeo arena herding sheep!! We were laughing so hard. What a little stinker.
I sure love our country and so glad we live where we are free to worship how we want. We're free to live how we want too. God Bless The USA!
